Hyperbole did not go unnoticed the lawyers representing victims call it the biggest “fraudulent transfer that has occurred in United States history.”

Despite all the legal jargon, J&J does not really believe that this bankruptcy will last. But it is a way of trying to push this $8.9 billion settlement through and maintain the pressure on plaintiffs.

The funders who fund litigation Virage Capital Management and TRGP Capital invested in hundreds of claims that were brought against Johnson & Johnson (J&J) concerning talc products in exchange for a share of any profits.
